KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - Day 15
Like "Price of Arc de Triomphe", the last day saw the sprint launched by the green casaque "camalhoû" who caps at the post the red casaque Whiskytsumi on a splendid perfect, and raids thus Jun-Yushô behind Itachi. Imumaru and Whiskytsumi (who bears its name well), good players, agree to make "chabrot" with our two winners. The fortnight is finished in good mood, around a large table of threshing-machine and some glasses of Madiran AOC and "coustoûs grâtinés" !
Otherwise, to return to what rassembles us, all the prices were allotted during this Kyûshû basho. Many performances were carried out during this tournament, to start with the new record of points made by Itachi, which was held by the sekiwake Kotononami.
The results are about balanced : we count 18 KK for 15 MK. On the other hand, the banzuke should count changes in top of classification, with the retrogradation of some sanyaku, including both sekiwakes Terarno and Kitano. We wish them a fast return to this level.

KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - Day 14
Itachi: FAWL YÛSHÔ KYÛSHÛ 2007!
Yes ! The 5/6 of the day of our anglophone Canadian already enables him to equalize the record of the sekiwake Kotononami which dates from Natsu 2007 but more especially to relegate its only opponent, the komusubi Whiskytsumi, holder of the title, at 6 points. And as our two leaders have Tamanoshima in loser middle group, our Swiss friend cannot come back on Itachi tomorrow...
In more of that, Itachi had the good idea to play the Bulgarian giraffe in loser group during the last period, which enables us to say that on less than one improbable return tomorrow, the record of 65 points will be beaten. Congratulations !
Now the fate is heard on the top, speak about the famished wolves which run behind to him for the other honor's places : a large day today since in addition to both perfects of Liclic and Zenjimoto, we raise a pleiad of 5/6 for Fatakiyama which continues to practice the yoyo's game, Holleshoryu, Susanoo, Itachi (of course), the rookie shin-fawler Anjoboshi and... the three "Sages" who show, it is not too late, they can be in unison. No candidate to Muppet today, nor of 1/6 but some 2/6 (bad !).
At the bottom of the rankings, the two sekiwakes are sleeping ; I will do something about them tomorrow... The classification (with exceptionally today the difference between equals) :

Canadian Itachi is strong and today he boxed a perfect. Already at the head, he strikes competition and it will be very hard to catch him. Konosato (only other perfect of the day) did also well, peacefully, without making noise, and benefits from it to come at Fuseigou's level. The scores are overall good today with a minimum of 2/6.

Sad 12th day... No perfect, nor candidature for the muppet... At last, one can nevertheless find a satisfaction : Itachi, the leader, who makes the good operation of the day with his 5/6 (accompanied by Doitsuyama and Ganzohnesushi). Whiskytsumi did a 4/6 and takes here important points for a good place in the end, which should be -maybe- synonymous with sanyaku's promotion for him in 2008. During this time, the two "Sages" are continuing to sleep.

KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - Day 11
Fatakiyama, the brilliant who made two perfects in a row has just proven to us that all of this was only chance since, thanks to his splendid bubble of the day, he is candidate for obtaining Muppet... In connection with this candidature for Muppet-sho, we received this day from the disappointing sekiwake Terarno -in who the "Sages" believed. Its pre-basho geiko in Kotonanami-beya (see below) were used for nothing and it will find a little humility in the medium of the banzuke in next basho.
There were thus two "0" but also two perfects today which are to be put to Holleshoryu and Konosato. Here are which should replace them correctly so much the scores of the day are spread out in our beach 0 to 6.
The quartet of head explodes, since the two "Sages" left for the hibernation (1/6 both). They let escape Imumaru (3/6 today) and especially Itachi who, with its 4/6 of the day takes the lead !

A quartet at the head guarantees an interesting end of basho to us and a man is making a big return to the head since, like yesterday, Fatakiyama is the only author of perfect day !
Behind him, the sekiwake Terarno, Neko, Imumaru, Itachi and Bezu-Ryu made 5/6 while the two "Sages" leaders are sleeping, waiting for the pack...

Various fortunes today, with important variations possible to realize.
Fatakiyama, who carries out single perfect of the day, and Imumaru (only 5/6) benefit from it to mark invaluable points for this end of third period.

KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - DAY 8
NAKABI FAWL!
Itachi (1/6) has problems today and Fuseigou, the only one with score of 5/6 today, benefits from it to take again a place on the provisional podium. Behind it is the hecatomb.
- Sekiwakes Terarno (25 pts on the whole) and Kitano (26 pts on the whole) are counting four-leaf clovers in their gardens...
- Muppet-sho is ascribable since from only one blow, two candidatures were received : former komusubi Konosato and sekiwake Kitano... Afflicting for these already "old glories"...
- The leader (2/6) who had filled the tank with the wins until now (yes yes 21/21 in seven days!!) boxes one 0/3!
- Sekiwake Kotononami (32 pts on the whole) and komusubi Whiskytsumi (35 pts on the whole) make fortunately honor to their rank.
- The red lantern Gusoyama (4/6 today and 23 pts on the whole) is now one point back, and I would conceal the names of those just before Gusoyama, by decency.

It is afflicting... Do not say that Muppet-sho will remain in the window of the "Sages" at the end of this basho !!! Still no "0/6", it is disturbing...
Lastly, one succeeded in pinning three celebrities with 1/6 today: the sekiwake Terarno, the "Sage" Sakana and master Doitsuyama. However this seventh day held his batch for us of surprised but the forecasters were good in the whole with three perfects to be added. They belong to Itachi, Konosato and Imumaru.
The rankings give us two detached players :

Results of the 6th day which are finishing the second period : compact scores between 2 and 5 for everyone. The good blows of the day are for Kintamayama, Takashido, Holleshoryu, Konosato, Itachi and... (still him) Abudisake.

It should be noted that over the first period, the two "Sages" had touched the possible maximum of 17/18 since there was no 0-3 in the group of bottom. For this second period, the maximum score is also 17/18 for the same reasons.

A small general deceleration for this 5th day where the results start to be stretched. The scores of the day go from 1 to 6 for Neko, Kitano & Chimatayama. This last benefits from it to come back closer in the top rankings is:

Here are the results of day 4. We're entering the second period with 3 new winners and 3 new losers. 1 only perfect today, it is to be put at the credit of... the "Abudisage" (still him). Crowned operation besides since in same time other "Sage" Fuseigou (3 points) passed a little to through today. With the general classification, Abudisage records a impressive score of 23 points out of 24 possible.
Behind him, we have :
20 pts: Fuseigou and Whiskytsumi
19 pts: Ganzohnesushi, Takashido and Itachi
18 pts: Kintamayama, Doitsuyama, Chimatayama and Imumaru
17 pts: Liclic, Jakusotsu, Konosato, Kotononami, Zenjimoto and Kaiowaka
16 pts: Holleshoryu, Kasamatsuri and Susanoo
15 pts: Marimo, Fatakiyama and Damimonay
The sekiwake Terarno and Kitano as well as the komusubi Neko took a difficult departure with 14 points, just like the "Sage" Sakana, Bezu-Ryu, Anjoboshi, Fayme and Mmikasazuma.
Charliki and Gusoyama close walk with 13 points.

KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - Day 3
Perfects again and a record's day today !!! You are excited or what ? Moreover, I wonder whether one will not create a job of "Sage" in charge for control anti-doping.
Cheer thus with Fatakiyama and "Sage" Sakana, two only authors of 6/6. An avalanche of 5/6 and 4/6 and only one unhappy which score only 3/6 : Marimo. Of memory of "Sage", I had never seen that.
About the "Sages", they widen the gap, look at the classification :
1st: Fuseigou & Abudisake with 17/18 possible!
3rds: Whiskytsumi, Itachi and Jakusotsu.

Here we are !!! The players are "hot" and we have a brutal takeoff which was seldom seen. To note : an avalanche of perfects today : 7 units ! They belong to Ganzohnesushi, Jakusotsu, Kasamatsuri, Itachi, of holding of the title Whiskytsumi and... thing extremely rare, of both "Sages" Fuseigou and Abudisake which thread to them 2nd perfect consecutive ! Who copied from the other ?

KYÛSHÛ BASHO 2007 - Day 1
Welcome everybody for this new edition of the FAWL. We will be 33 for this edition.
Results of the first day. Really, you are only immature players who need to be framed.... it has there only to look at the standings of the "Sages" to include/understand : 1st equal with two perfects : your two amazed wise old men : Fuseigou and Abudisake. Only 33rd : Sakana with 1 point... It should be noted that the 3rd perfect is the fruit of the fertile imagination of our faithful Marseillais : Imumaru.
And after do not say to me that one does not frame you !!! If not, other French-speaking people highlighted themselves by signing some pretty 5/6 over one day difficult. They are works of Liclic, Takashido, Chimatayama and Whiskytsumi.
Our three sekiwake start gently with 3/6.... can do better.

Some news on the state of form of the rikishi(s) of Fawl :
Both sekiwake(s) Kitano and Terarno carried out a surprising displacement in Kotononami-beya to carry out a de-geiko 3 days before the beginning of the basho. With their entry in the heya, one could see the faces of the rikishi(s) present becoming livid. After having hit without care some makushita(s), the sekiwake Terarno carried out 16 bouts against the sekiwake Kotononami. The assessment was not officially announced to avoid to embarass Kotononami, but one speaks about one 14-2 in favour of his visitor of the day. The sekiwake Kitano slightly twisted ankle on a oshidashi but declared: "I will be satisfied with doing teppo tomorrow and I will be indeed present at the shonichi".
Sakana will shin-maegashira seems genki after having dominated the keiko in which he was opposed to maegashira 8 Damimonay west. It abused Damimonay harshly, systematically leaving it the dohyo and sending it to swell in the walls. Damimonay, cover of sand and contusions, declared piteously: "I do not have any excuse, I brought shame to my oyakata, I am a "grosse brêle"".
It should be noted that Whiskytsumi, Charliki, Konosato and Kaiowaka only have just arrived on the island of Kyushu after a cure in hot spring water baths in Switzerland
