AKI BASHO 2012 - Senshûraku
Best score : 5 pts (Anjoboshi)
Worst score : 1 pt (Flohru, Fuseigou, Holleshoryu, Kasamatsuri, Neko)
Average : 2,75 pts

We finish the fawl-basho with a low average. The second week was a tough one. See, the winner, Gonzaburow, finishes with a "little" 60 points, 2 points more than his first follower : Kaiowaka.

Ôzeki's bankrupt + some outsiders in the top-banzuke + some rikishi doing their basho in a bad way = some issues to have good picks...

Actually, we have 12 kachi-koshi, which is better than 8-9 expected. Susanoo saved his rank on the last day, congratulations. Now, let's have a look on the Aki basho hall of fame :

Makuuchi Yûshô
GONZABUROW
(S1w ; 60 pts ; 10-5)
Makuuchi Jun-Yûshô
Kaiowaka
(K1e ; 58 pts ; 10-5)
Shukun-shô
Terarno
(M8w ; 6 x 3/3 pts)
Gino-shô
Gonzaburow
(S1w ; 30/30 pts)
Kantô-shô
Terarno
(M8w ; 2 x 6/6 pts)
Fus'Award
Konosato
(M4e ; 31 pts)
Abudis'Award
Andonishiki
(M2w ; 33 pts)
Muppet-shô
Wamahada
(M6w ; 1 x 0/6 pts)

AKI BASHO 2012 - Day 14
Best score : 6 pts (Terarno)
Worst score : 2 pts (Anjoboshi, Susanoo, Wamahada)
Average : 3,65 pts

Gonzaburow is keeping the pace. Kaiowaka and Konosato do not manage to catch him. Kaiowaka, due to the technic points is the best placed to grab the yusho if Gonzaburow fails. Ganzohnesushi might win too, but it needs lot of facts to arrive.

Terarno, who got a perfect today, can get the KK tomorrow. Ozeki Susanoo is losing grip and might lose his rank...

AKI BASHO 2012 - Day 13
Best score : 5 pts (Konosato, Mmikasazuma, Neko)
Worst score : 1 pt (Anjoboshi)
Average : 3,20 pts

After some days with a so-so average, our fawlers are increasing their cruise speed. Only fuseigou don't know what "winning" means, well glued at the bottom. (off-topic : the final at KCC in Bench-Sumo will opposite the two opposites of Fawl : Gonzaburow and Fuseigou...)

Gonzaburow (52 pts), who is a drunkard all the day (as quoted in some games), is leading since nakabi with Konosato, Kaiowaka and Ganzohnesushi on his toes. Yusho will go to the hands of one of them. But who ? And maybe under the 60 points limit, which would be a first time in FAWL...

Kameumi and Fujisan will have some issues to grab the KK. Good luck !

As usual, our sanyaku are leading. Thanks to them, we'll have a hard time when the banzuke-making will approach...

AKI BASHO 2012 - Days 10 to 12
Results Day 12 :
Best score : 5 pts (Gibuten, Mmikasazuma)
Worst score : 1 pt (Achiyama, Fuseigou)
Average : 2,95 pts

Results Day 11 :
Best score : 6 pts (Achiyama, Anjoboshi, Flohru)
Worst score : 1 pt (Kameumi)
Average : 3,75 pts

Results Day 10 :
Best score : 5 pts (Susanoo)
Worst score : 2 pts (Achiyama, Andonishiki, Anjoboshi, Ganzohnesushi, Holleshoryu, Mmikasazuma, Terarno, Wamahada)
Average : 2,80 pts

Sorry, no comments, but at least one thing : Gonzaburow takes the lead before the final sprint !

AKI BASHO 2012 - Day 9
Best score : 6 pts (Wamahada)
Worst score : 1 pt (Holleshoryu, Kasamatsuri)
Average : 2,85 pts

Oh, the pace is going down for the first time since the shonichi : 2.85 points !

Wamahada did the best performance with a perfect. He takes back 3 points on many fawlers. Kaiowaka is still in the good pace, followed closely by Gonzaburow. Kameumi, Konosato, Neko and Andonishiki are hiding in the shadows, not so far...

Ôzekis Ganzohnesushi and Susanoo have 35 points. They still can dream about the title (and Susanoo : about saving from kadoban). Achiyama and cie., it becomes more difficult to aim for the yûshô. But who knows ?

In real life, things are becoming harder : Kisenosato got a kuroboshi, Kakuryu is losing grip. Kyokutenhô will do the same tournament than in May ? Another "hold-up" ? When you watch his bout against a good Tochiozan, why not ? But this time, Kyokutenho will face tougher opponents. Tomorrow : Kakuryu... Whose fawlers will gain or lose points in those bouts at the top of the banzuke ?

AKI BASHO 2012 - Day 8
Best score : 6 pts (Gonzaburow)
Worst score : 1 pt (Fujisan, Fuseigou, Holleshoryu)
Average : 3,35 pts

Some minor breaks are appearing in the top ranks, but nothing is decided yet...

Kaiowaka is the sole leader with 1 point more than Kameumi and Gonzaburow (2nd perfect in a row !). One point back, Konosato, Neko and Andonishiki are following. Will those 6 fawlers fight for the yûshô ?

Stay tuned !

AKI BASHO 2012 - Day 7
Best score : 6 pts (Gonzaburow, Kaiowaka)
Worst score : 2 pts (Fujisan, Fuseigou, Holleshoryu, Mmikasazuma)
Average : 3,60 pts

We are back ! Last comment on FAWL on... Natsu basho 2012. It's a long time ago... Now, we are 20 fawlers. Only. So, at the end of this basho, we'll launch a poll : FAWL has to continue or stop ? Is there an interest to play with only 20 fawlers ? What can we change about the game ? Some of this questions... On Sumo Forum or Info-Sumo, we'll wait for your opinions.

But, amongst the current fawlers, it's a fierce battle ! Averages are high. Even with 3 ôzeki on the bench. One (amusing ?) thing : nobody picked Kotooshu. Is it the signal that he has to retire ? Baruto was played by many but costs points... Kisenosato and Harumafuji were the favorites ôzeki chosen.

So, we were expecting bad results on this first week and we had the opposite ! Only Torafujii seems to have issues.

The leaders are Kaiowaka and Konosato (oh, really ? it's a surprise... or not...), followed by Kameumi and Andonishiki.

We'll have a nice second week if the results stay at this level !

See you tomorrow (with pleasure) !
